Privacy Policy
D2H3 (“the app”) is a golf scorekeeping and side-game ledger app made available by Jace Tabor (“we”, “us”), Texas, United States. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. Questions: tabor_jace@yahoo.com.
1. Information we collect
| Information | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Email address and password | To create and sign in to your account, and to send account emails such as password resets. Your password is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider. |
| Phone number (optional) | An optional detail kept on your profile for a planned invite-friends feature. It is not shown to other players today, is never used to sign in, and no SMS is ever sent. |
| Profile: display name, handicap index, home course | To show who is in a round and calculate net scores. A profile photo you pick in the app stays on your device and is never uploaded. |
| Round data you and your group enter: courses, tees, hole scores, games and stakes, results, who-owes-whom ledger entries | To run the round, show standings, keep the season ledger and history for you and the players in your group. |
| Course data you add (typed in, or a photo of a scorecard you choose to scan) | To create the course record. A scanned scorecard image is sent to our scorecard-reading service only to extract pars, handicaps and yardages, and is not kept after processing. |
| Device and diagnostic information generated when the app talks to our servers (IP address, device type/OS version, app version, timestamps, error logs) | To operate, secure and debug the service. |
We do not collect precise location, contacts, health data, payment details or government identifiers, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
2. How we use information
- Provide the app: rounds, live standings, side-game tracking, settle-up summaries, season stats and history.
- Share round data with the other players in a round or group you join — that is the point of the app. Your display name, handicap, scores and ledger entries in a round are visible to everyone in that round. While the scorer shares a round live, any signed-in D2H3 user who enters that round’s 6-character invite code can watch the same round data; live rounds stop being available at most 6 hours after the last update.
- Send service emails (for example password resets). The app does not send SMS messages or push notifications.
- Keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- Comply with law.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
3. Money and betting
D2H3 is a scorekeeper and ledger. It records the games a group chooses to play and who owes whom at the end. The app does not take, hold, transmit or pay out money, does not set odds, and is not a party to any wager. Whether and how players settle between themselves is their responsibility, subject to the laws that apply to them.
4. Who we share information with
- Other players in your rounds and groups, as described above.
- Service providers that host and run the app for us, acting on our instructions: cloud hosting, database and authentication services, an email delivery provider (to send account emails), the app-store platforms and an app-update delivery service (to deliver the app and its updates), a course-data provider (queries you type when searching for a course), and an AI service used only to read scorecard photos you choose to scan. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Legal: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of users or the public.
- Business transfer: if D2H3 is ever acquired or merged, data may transfer to the successor under this policy.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and round data while your account is active so your history and season ledger work. Deleting your account permanently deletes your profile and your synced rounds from our servers. Round records other players already hold in their own histories are their copies and keep the display name you played under. Scanned scorecard images are discarded after processing. Server logs are kept briefly for security and debugging.
Delete your account at any time from You → Settings → Delete account in the app, or by emailing tabor_jace@yahoo.com. We delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal reasons.
6. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile in the app.
- Access, correct, export or delete your data — email us and we will help.
- Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights such as the right to know, to correct, to delete, to data portability and to object; you can exercise them by contacting us. We do not discriminate for exercising them.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as the law requires.
8. Children
D2H3 is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
D2H3 is operated from the United States and your data is processed there. By using the app you agree to that transfer.
10. Changes
We will post any changes here and update the effective date; material changes will also be announced in the app.
